Known as the Romantic poet of the piano, Frédéric Chopin was only 4 years old when he started learning the piano, 8 years old when he performed publicly as a pianist and twelve years old when he became a widely-known musical performer cum virtuoso. Despite his short-lived musical career on account of an untimely death, Chopin’s incredible masterpieces have been influential to the development of classical music.
