Katie Melua’s Secret Symphony
Katie Melua’s brand new album Secret Symphony CD will be released in March 2012. The Georgian-born British singer/songwriter’s fifth album, Secret Symphony, is an exquisite collection of songs that perfectly showcases the unique, instantly recognizable voice. Incredibly delivered by Katie, songs in the album feature her interpretations of some of the greatest hits from different greatest songwriters including `All Over The World' (Francoise Hardy), `Gold In Them Hills' (by the great writer Ron Sexsmith), `Nobody Knows You' (Jimmie Cox) and `Moonshine' (Fran Healy). Katie also perfom her own composition `Forgetting All My Troubles'. Her songwriting collaboration with manager and producer Mike Batt on `Heartstrings' and `Lone Wolf' are also highlights of the album. Batt contributes to the title track `Secret Symphony', `The Walls Of The World', `Better Than A Dream' and `The Bit That I Don't Get'. The result is a collaboration that imbues the songs with a distinct personality that could only be the work of this creative team. The record allows Katie's distinctive voice and the songs to truly shine.
